2025.06.06

On June 6, 2025, New China Life Insurance, in collaboration with China Re Life and MediTrust Health, held a product launch event in Beijing for the “Yi Yao Wu You” Health Insurance (hereinafter referred to as “Yi Yao Wu You”). This innovative product integrates China Re Life’s market insights, New China Life Insurance’s product development capabilities, and MediTrust Health’s expertise in professional health management. With a focus on coverage for outpatient drugs and medical devices, premium care for major illnesses, and minor hospitalizations, “Yi Yao Wu You” aims to provide users with more comprehensive and personalized health protection through a closed-loop ecosystem that combines health insurance, health management, and medical services.

Against the backdrop of ongoing healthcare system reforms, commercial health insurance has played an increasingly important role in easing the burden of medical expenses on households. However, mainstream commercial health insurance products—such as million-level health insurances—still face several challenges, including high deductibles, limited access to quality medical resources, and inadequate coverage of innovative drugs. Addressing these issues, “Yi Yao Wu You” establishes a five-tiered risk “protection shield” across pharmaceuticals and medical devices, premium care, deductibles, medical access, and cancer treatment. This comprehensive approach brings the product closer to users’ real needs and provides robust support throughout the patient care journey.

High-quality service is key to enhancing customer experience and boosting product competitiveness. “Yi Yao Wu You”, in partnership with MediTrust Health, integrates green channel access to over 1,700 Class III Grade A hospitals across China. Focusing on three core aspects—medical treatment, medication, and payment—the product delivers a dual-powered upgrade through access to premium medical resources and innovative payment solutions, offering customers a redefined healthcare experience. For patients with serious illnesses, the product offers tailored health management solutions: through dedicated health managers, users can access full-service support, including expert appointments at Class III Grade A hospitals, multidisciplinary tumor board (MDT) consultations for malignant cancers, professional accompaniment services, and inpatient care coordination; with the “Global Drug Search” and “Direct Payment for Specialty Drugs” services, patients gain access to cutting-edge pharmaceutical and medical device resources both domestically and internationally, ensuring treatment integrity and drug availability; an innovative multi-channel payment planning service is also introduced: when treatment involves Patient Assistance Programs (PAP), professional advisors provide end-to-end guidance on documentation and application procedures, helping patients reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses to the greatest extent possible.

“Yi Yao Wu You” is an innovative insurance product jointly developed, co-managed, and serviced by New China Life Insurance, China Re Life, and MediTrust Health. It exemplifies a collaborative effort that leverages the strengths of all three parties to deliver inclusive, people-centered benefits. The three companies remain committed to the customer-centric development philosophy and will continue to expand the ecosystem and network of the health and medical industry around the evolving needs of the public. They aim to deepen partnerships with high-quality domestic medical, pharmaceutical, and health management institutions to build a comprehensive “product + service” health insurance portfolio that spans the entire lifecycle. Through a closed-loop ecosystem that combines health insurance, health management, and medical services, the collaboration seeks to offer customers integrated solutions encompassing protection, health, treatment, rehabilitation, and care—contributing actively to the national Healthy China strategy.
