Intelligent Insurance Operation Center Established in Jinqiao to Propel New Ecosystem of Medical-Pharmaceutical-Insurance Alignment

On May 20, MediTrust Health, under the innovation incubation of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., officially opened its Intelligent Insurance Operation Center at the Biopharmaceutical Industry Base in Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Shanghai. This marks the official launch of a new commercial insurance operations model integrating claims review, pharmaceutical services, Care2Pay, and customer service consultation into one cohesive platform. The opening of this center provides an infrastructure-level example of deep integration between the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. Li Yongzhong, Executive Director and CEO of Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., Guo Rong, Party Secretary and Chairman of Jinqiao Group, Zhou Aiqing, Deputy Director of Jinqiao Administration Bureau of the Management Commission of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free-Trade Zone, Founder and CEO of MediTrust Health, as well as representatives from insurance and pharmaceutical companies, attended the event to witness another breakthrough in the development of a multi-tiered healthcare security system.

The first Intelligent Insurance Operation Center designed by MediTrust Health is committed to supporting the operational closed-loop of commercial health insurance services through standardized and intelligent operations. It integrates key processes such as claims review, pharmaceutical services, Care2Pay, and customer service consultations. Leveraging a nationwide network of self-operated and partner pharmacies, as well as contracted infusion centers, the center utilizes AI technology to optimize the claims process, improving both the efficiency and quality of commercial insurance services.

Zhou Aiqing, Deputy Director of Jinqiao Administration Bureau of the Management Commission of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free-Trade Zone, shared his insights that as the core area for technological innovation and industrial upgrading in Shanghai, the Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone has always taken “empowering high-quality development and serving the national strategy” as its mission, fully committed to building an internationally competitive biopharmaceutical industry ecosystem. Under the guidance of the “Healthy China” strategy, we actively promote the “Three-Industry Synergy” of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and insurance. By driving policy innovation, resource integration, and platform development, we support enterprises in overcoming development bottlenecks and cultivating industry benchmarks. Today, the entry of MediTrust Health into the Golden Key Project is a vivid example of this strategy. The Golden Key Project has transformed from an old warehouse into a modern industrial complex, not only reflecting the intelligence of urban renewal but also showcasing the forward-looking layout of the Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone for “healthcare-pharma-insurance” ecosystem.

At the opening ceremony, representatives from several pharmaceutical companies, including Fosun Kairos, Pfizer, Allist, Novartis, and Kelun Biotech, attended and participated in the first batch of companies moving in. This marks the official beginning of a new phase in MediTrust Health’s Commercial Insurance Smart Operations Center and its deep collaborative integration with the pharmaceutical industry chain.
